1. Drain: CHECKING THE FUEL SENDER
• Engine oil 1. Disconnect:

• Oil level switch • Fuel sender coupler

• Oil level switch continuity • Fuel tank
Out of specification → Replace. 3. Remove:
• Fuel pump
Oil level switch resistance (from the fuel tank)
Minimum level position 4. Check:
No continuity • Fuel sender resistance
Maximum level position
Out of specification → Replace the fuel pump

a. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the oil Fuel sender
level switch terminal as shown. Sender unit resistance (full)
19.0–21.0 Ω
