1. Drain:
 • Final gear oil
   (from the final gear case)
   Refer to “CHANGING THE FINAL GEAR
   OIL” on page 3-33.
2. Check:
 • Final gear oil
   Large amount of metal particles → Check for
   bearing seizure.
NOTE:
A small amount of metal particles in the final
gear oil is normal.
3. Check:
 • Shaft drive housing
   (for oil leaks)
