Installing The Generator

GENERATOR AND STARTER CLUTCH

                                                           • Lubricate the generator rotor bolt threads and

While holding the generator rotor with the
sheave holder, tighten the starter clutch bolts.

INSTALLING THE GENERATOR
1. Install:
  • Woodruff key
  • Generator rotor
  • Washer                                                 4. Install:
  • Generator rotor bolt
                                                            • Generator cover gasket New
NOTE:
                                                            • Generator cover
• Clean the tapered portion of the crankshaft and
  the generator rotor hub.                                                Generator cover bolt
• When installing the generator rotor, make sure                T.
                                                                 R.
                                                                           12 Nm (1.2 m·kg, 8.7 ft·lb)
  the woodruff key is properly seated in the key-
  way of the crankshaft.

Tighten the generator cover bolts in stages and
in a crisscross pattern.
